MOSCOW, June 1 (RAPSI) – President Vladimir Putin on Monday set July 1 as the date of the All-Russian vote on amendments to the Russian Constitution.

The Head of the State also asked Chair of the Central Electoral Commission Ella Pamfilova, Head of the consumer rights watchdog Anna Popova and regional authorities to pay especial attention at the ensurance of people’s safety at electoral districts.

On March 25, the President stated in his address to the nation on the issue of the coronavirus pandemic that it was necessary to postpone the voting on the amendments to Russia's Constitution. "Health, lives, and safety of people are for us an absolute priority," the President said.
