MOSCOW, March 5 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Friday upheld the 15-day detention of journalist and municipal lawmaker Ilya Azar 150,000 rubles ($2,000) for calls to participate in unauthorized rallies, the court’s press service told RAPSI.

Azar was detained for breaching the order of organizing a public rally. Earlier, he was fined 150,000 rubles ($2,000) for the similar violation.

According to the administrative protocols, in 2020, Azar wrote on his Facebook page a post calling to take part in an illegal action.
