Supreme Commercial Court Chairman Anton Ivanov said that the Presidium of the Supreme Commercial Court plans to summarize the legal practice on disputes regarding the protection of rights of minority shareholders and the recovery of lost profits, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com) reported from the court on Wednesday.

Problems which arose during the legal practice when applying the law on joint-stock companies are set to be examined, in particular issues concerning the acquisition of large portfolios, Ivanov said at the annual meeting of the Commercial Courts' chairmen.

He stressed that the Supreme Commercial Court is largely involved in unifying legal practice and working out legal positions, which results in legal clearness and stability of the civil transactions in the country.

The Supreme Commercial Court holds on January 25-26 the events devoted to the 20th anniversary of the establishment of commercial courts, that is a final meeting of commercial courts' chairmen and an international conference, "Role of the Judicial Power in the Development of Civil Society."
