Bulgarian parliament adopts bill on damage payment to Russian company for abandoned NPP

The Bulgarian parliament has passed in the first reading a bill on providing financial support for the National Electric Company (NEK) to pay the damages to Russian engineering company Atomstroyexport for the abandoned Belene nuclear power plant project.

Russia’s Atomstroyexport awarded nearly €550 mln over abandoned Bulgarian NPP

The Paris-based International Court of Arbitration of the International Chamber of Commerce has awarded Russian engineering company Atomstroyexport about €550 million to be paid by Bulgarian National Electric Company (NEK) for an abandoned nuclear power project.
