MOSCOW, October 27 (RAPSI) – Moscow authorities have no plans to restrict the work of the city’s night clubs and restaurants as recommended by Russia’s consumer rights agency Roskomnadzor because certain measures to control visiting of such places have already been taken in the city, according to the Moscow Mayor’s spokesperson Gulnara Penkova.

There is a great decline in the COVID-19 cases growth rates in the city. Therefore, Moscow authorities decided not to close nightspots yet, she told RAPSI on Tuesday.

Earlier, special QR-codes SMS-messages were introduced for visitors of Moscow’s nightspots. This measure ensures operating control and epidemiological inquiries. If any visitor of a night club or a restaurant is infected with coronavirus, others will be notified and proposed to take a coronavirus test. Refusal to use QR-codes will be punishable by fines of up to 500,000 rubles ($6,500) for legal entities, Penkova reminded.
