MOSCOW, April 10 (RAPSI) -Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has ordered temporary closure of all Moscow cemeteries for visitors as part of fighting against the spread of coronavirus, according to a statement published on his website.

Under the Mayor’s order, during the high alert regime all cemeteries will be open only for burial services and participation in the funeral, but not for free visiting.

The self-isolation regime was introduced in Moscow and Moscow Region in late March. Residents are banned from leaving their places of living without a special need. They are allowed to leave homes for urgent medical aid, grocery shopping in the nearest stores, visiting pharmacies. Similar measures have been introduced in several other regions of Russia.
