MOSCOW, June 21 (RAPSI) – The Committee Against Torture NGO has established a charity fund to help people suffered from crimes of officials, the press service of the Russian Presidential Council for Human Rights reports.

Official crime victims have a chance to obtain justice, but they will make a long way to establish their truth. The fund was founded to lend support to such people including medical and psychological, the statement reads.

The Committee Against Torture headed by advocate and the human rights council member Igor Kalyapin was founded in 2000. The NGO is engaged in assistance to torture victims and their relatives, conduction of independent investigations and filing applications with the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg.
