MOSCOW, August 22 (RAPSI) – The Federal Antimonopoly Services extended deadline set for elimination of unreasonable difference in roaming prices by the Russian largest mobile operators until December 15, the watchdog reported Tuesday.

On July 14, the watchdog issued warnings to MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom (Beeline brand) and T2 Mobile (Tele2 brand).

FAS announced that actions of MTS, MegaFon, VimpelCom (Beeline brand) and T2 Mobile (Tele2 brand) may have violated the competition law by setting different prices for mobile phone service in customer’s home region and in roaming on the territory of Russia.

In late July, the watchdog opened antimonopoly cases against the companies over alleged violation of competition legislation.

All four mobile operators expressed readiness to enforce the warning and requested the Federal Antimonopoly Service to extend the deadline.

According to the watchdog, the order execution will let form the integrated telecommunication space and respect the rights of all subscribers in Russia.
