MOSCOW, August 17 (RAPSI) – The Central Bank of Russia has filed with the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) a request to check Alfa Capital managing company for unfair competition, FAS reported in its Telegram channel.

According to the FAS official Lilia Belyayeva, the watchdog received the application on Thursday.

Earlier, the company’s manager sent a letter to the clients warning about problems and risk of investment in top 15 Russian banks including Otkritie Bank, Binbank, MKB and Promsvyazbank. A manager was reportedly summoned to the Central Bank of Russia for offering explanations.

On Wednesday, the Federal Antimonopoly Service directed an inquiry to the company. A conclusion of antimonopoly law violation will be made after the reply comes, FAS said.
