MOSCOW, July 8 (RAPSI) – The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has seized a website containing child pornography and has obtained information about its members, Daily Mail has reported.

According to Daily Mail, the FBI’s search warrant showed that the agency took control over the website’s server on February 20, 2015 but allowed it to continue operating for two more weeks in order to learn more data regarding the website’s users.

The website, which began operating around August 2014, contained posts and messages featuring child pornography images. The website’s base listed 214,898 registered clients, Daily Mail has reported citing the warrant.

The probe follows an earlier FBI investigation that resulted in the seizure of three child pornography online websites in 2012, Daily Mail has reported.
