KIEV, February 3 (RAPSI) – Kiev has decided to close the border to Russians with national passports on March 1, 2015, says Ukrainian government's resolution posted on the its website on Tuesday.

Starting March 1, Russian citizens will be able to enter Ukraine only with a foreign travel passport, a diplomatic or service passport, a seaman’s identity card plus a crew list or an excerpt from it, an entry/exit document (the latter only for returning to Russia), or an aircrew identification card.

Contrary to the 1997 bilateral agreement on visa-free travel, entry to Ukraine will be denied to Russian citizens with national passports or birth certificates (for children aged below 14) indicating the holders’ nationality as Russian.
