MOSCOW, March 27 (RAPSI) - Ukraine has extradited Mohammed  Migaev, accused of the assault against a person in rural Chechnya, to Russia, Russian Prosecutor’s General Office said in a statement.

“Migaev was a member of the gang, which was attacking citizens in the Roschni-Chu area of Urus-Martanov region”, prosecutors explained.

Migaev was put on the international wanted list in 2008. In December 2013 he was detained by Ukrainian police in Odessa. In January 2014 Russian Prosecutor’s General Office issued extradition warrant.

Anti-crime cooperation between Russia and Ukraine experienced several complications in the last month. On March 5, Russian investigators placed the leader of the Ukrainian far-right, ultra-nationalist movement “Right Sector” Dmitry Yarosh on an international wanted list. On March26, after events in Crimea, Ukrainian Security Service placed Natalia Poklonskaya, Crimea's acting Prosecutor General, on a wanted list as well.
