MOSCOW, August 30 – RAPSI. A corporate lawyer forum, 100 Steps For-ward: Business and the State, will be held on October 3 and 4 at RIA Novosti In-ternational Press Center (4 Zubovsky Boulevard) by the Russian Legal Information agency (RAPSI) and Korporativny Yurist (Corporate Counsel) magazine.

Over 150 heads of ministries and major public and private companies’ legal departments will discuss legal protection for business in Russia. The forum will also be attended by in-house  lawyers and legal vice-presidents of companies operating in a variety of business sectors.

The forum will look at the legal effects of Russia’s accession to the WTO, new amendments to Russian tax policy in the next two years, tax risk management and the legal aspects of corporate activities which make investment in Russia more at-tractive.

The organizers of the forum first and foremost wished to create a platform for open dialogue so as to find solutions to the most pressing problems hindering business development in Russia.

“Many businessmen and government officials have voiced the need for this kind of event,” said RAPSI Editor-in-Chief Oleg Yefrosinin. He noted that “Russian and global modern economic trends set new challenges which should be discussed by all parties concerned.”
