KIEV, November 10 - RAPSI. An appeal against the sentence to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko was transferred from the Kiev Court to the Court of Appeals on Wednesday, defense counsel Sergei Vlasenko told journalists after his meeting with Tymoshenko.

On October 11, a Kiev district court sentenced Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of power in connection with gas contracts signed with Russia in 2009.
"According to the information from the Kiev district court, the appeal will be considered on December 13 at 11.00 a.m. (local time, 13:00 Moscow time)," Vlasenko said.

Yulia Tymoshenko's health has got significantly worse due to her long confinement in a pre-trial detention center, he also said.

Vlasenko added that Tymoshenko was accompanied by the personnel of the detention center as she could not move on her own due to a poor health.
