MOSCOW, June 6 (RAPSI) – The law permitting air crew teams to use special tools against in-flight brawlers committing unlawful actions on board came into effect in Russia on June 5, according to the State Duma official website.

The law envisages that an aircraft commander will have a right to take all needed measures, including enforcement actions, against persons whose behavior poses instant danger to life and health of other people and who refuse to comply with the captain’s order.

Moreover, the pilot-in-command may order his team and the Aviation Security officers to use special tools, including flex-cuffs and nylon straps, to suppress unlawful actions during the flight.
