MOSCOW, May 15 (RAPSI) – A bill seeking to clarify the powers Russia’s ministries on education and science are to have as to introduction of procedures governing e-learning and distance educational technologies to be used in the framework of educational programs has reached the State Duma, according to the database of the lower house of Russia’s parliament.

The bill envisages fine tuning of distance learning under the unique conditions caused by the spread coronavirus infection, in which it becomes impossible to ensure the continuity of the educational process, the document reads.

An analysis of the current regulations demonstrates a number of legislative gaps, which need to be closed, according to Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture Liliya Gumerova, an author of the bill. The proposed changes are to concern among other things the division of powers of the respective ministries.
