KIEV, July 21 (RAPSI) - The Ukrainian parliament meeting tomorrow will give priority to President Petro Poroshenko’s decree on partial mobilization, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Oleksandr Turchynov announced.

The parliament speaker also informed the deputies that the Ukrainian army will continue its special operations in eastern Ukraine.

“The Ukrainian armed forces, the National Guard and special police units continue the offensive action. The town of Rubezhnoye has been liberated.

Currently, operations are in progress to liberate the towns of Popasnoye and Dzerzhynsk, with Lysychansk and Severodonetsk to follow,” Tyrchynov added.

Since mid-April, Kiev officials have been carrying out a military operation in eastern Ukraine against local residents who did not recognize the coup last February. The Kremlin has called the operations that have caused numerous victims on both sides and affected civilian life, punitive and continues to urge Kiev to stop it immediately.

As a result of referenda in the Lugansk and Donetsk regions, the regions proclaimed themselves the Lugansk and Donetsk people’s republics. The special operations have intensified in the regions recently, with military action ongoing at the Russian border.
