ROSTOV-ON-DON, August 25 (RAPSI) — The Oktyabrsky District Court of southern Russian city of Krasnodar sentenced local resident Alexey Lutsenko to 7 years and 1 month in a penal colony for 30 deliberately false reports of impending explosions, as reported by the Joint Press Service of the Courts of the Krasnodar Krai.

According to the court ruling, from August to September 2020, the defendant sent deliberately false information about impending explosions at infrastructure facilities, government agencies, healthcare institutions, airports and railway stations of the region via e-mail to the respective entities. The criminal was identified by officers of the regional department of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

Having considered the materials of the case, the court found Lutsenko guilty of committing such crimes as providing knowingly false information about impending explosions that posed danger of death to people and of causing significant property damage with the aim to destabilize the work of authorities. The sentence has not become final yet.
