MOSCOW, October 1 (RAPSI) - The Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested an alleged member of the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in Russia, thus averting a terrorist attack in the Republic of Karachay-Cherkessia, the FSB press service has told RAPSI.

According to the statement, the man born 2001 planned to commit a terrorist attack against law enforcement officers. He pled guilty. 

During his arrest and searches, components and tools for producing a self-made bomb, cell phone with messages to other terrorists have been seized from him.

A criminal case is opened over preparation for a terrorist attack and participation in a terrorist organization.
