MOSCOW, September 9 (RAPSI) — Anton Myslivets, owner of a channel on YouTube and VKontakte social network, will face trial for alleged spreading misinformation about COVID-19 vaccine, press service of the Prosecutor General's Office told RAPSI.

Myslivets launched the channel to spread false information on scientific and socio-political issues, that was presented as reliable, the statement reads.

He participated in the production of a video saying that vaccine against the coronavirus was allegedly developed to reduce the population of Russia, and its use has a lethal effect.

Myslivets created a real threat of forming a negative attitude among the population towards the measures taken to prevent, treat and counter the spread of the coronavirus infection, and also encouraged dangerous actions in the form of refusal of necessary medical care, prosecutors say.
