MOSCOW, August 25 (RAPSI) – Investigators accuse Russian physicist Valery Golubkin of treason which was allegedly committed during his involvement in an international project of the Central Aerohydrodynamic Institute and a European institute, attorney Ivan Pavlov told RAPSI on Wednesday.

Golubkin pleads not guilty. In April, he was placed in detention. Under the law, the defendant could face up to 20 years behind bars if convicted.

According to the website of Moscow’s Institute of Physics and Technology, Professor Valery Golubkin specializing in the hypersonic flow of flying machine elements and aerodynamic optimization is one of the employees of the Professorship of Theoretic and Applied Aero and Hydromechanics.
