MOSCOW, February 5 (RAPSI) – A court in the Murmansk Region has sentenced a businessman to 4 years and 10 months in prison for embezzling over 500 million rubles (about $7 mln) of credit funds, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office has told RAPSI.

Additionally, he has been fined 700,000 rubles. He has been also ordered to return the embezzled money.

According to case papers, from March 2008 to February 2010, the entrepreneur stole the funds from bank accounts of the firms he had founded.
