MOSCOW, October 1 (RAPSI) – Mikhail Efremov has paid compensation for moral harm in the amount of 800,000 rubles to the eldest son of Sergey Zakharov, a driver who had died in a road traffic accident with the actor, the press service of Moscow’s Presnensky District Court has told RAPSI.

The court received an appeal from Efremov saying that he had undone moral damage to Vitaly Zakharov, the statement reads.

Earlier, during the trial Efremov stated that he paid another 200,000 rubles to the injured party.

On the evening of June 8, Efremov driving his car crossed into the oncoming lane in central Moscow and collided with a delivery service vehicle. He was arrested on the scene. Alcohol and drugs were reportedly found in his blood. Victim Sergey Zakharov was taken to hospital where he died early in the morning of June 9.
