MOSCOW, November 1 (RAPSI) – A court in Russia’s Nenets Autonomous Area on Friday placed a suspect in the murder of a 6-year-old boy in a kindergarten in detention upon a motion filed by investigators, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.

During interrogation, the suspected man refused to give testimony. Murder charges will be brought against him soon, the statement reads.

Law enforcement officers also arrested a guard of the kindergarten, who allowed the murder suspect to enter the pre-school institution without obstruction. The guard is suspected of providing substandard services that negligently led to the death of a minor, according to investigators.

On October 31, a resident of Naryan-Mar city in a drunken state entered the local kindergarten and stabbed a child of 6 years with a knife. The boy died on the scene.
