MOSCOW, July 31 (RAPSI) – The bankruptcy manager of bank Pushkino has appealed against a decision of the Moscow Regional Commercial Court dismissing a petition to seize property of former managers of the bank worth 14.7 billion rubles (about $232 million), the court’s ruling reads.

The Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) acting as the bank manager appealed against the decision of the lower court of 5 June in the Tenth Commercial Court of Appeals. At that time the court said the appellant failed to prove the adequacy of the presented evidence.

This April, the proceedings concerning the seizure of property owned by bank Pushkino ex-owener Alexey Alyakin and other former managers were resumed after in February of 2017 a regional commercial court adjourned the proceedings on the case until the settlements with creditors or examination of the respective claims were completed.

In 2013 bank Pushkino was declared bankrupt by a court decision. According to DIA, by February 2019 the bank has paid its creditors 1.6 billion rubles ($25 million) from the total debt of 23.3 billion rubles ($368 million).

Alyakin, who withdrew from the bank in 2013, was declared bankrupt in 2016 as an individual entrepreneur on his own initiative.
