MOSCOW, October 16 (RAPSI) - Three men have been charged with embezzlement of 380 million rubles ($6.1 million) during the installation of cable lines over the bottom of the Gulf of Finland in St. Petersburg, Russia’s Investigative Committee announced on Friday.

A contractor agreement has been concluded between Lenenergo, one of the largest electricity distribution companies in Russia, and Trust Trinity Company.

Charges have been brought against Alexander Isayev, the managing director of Trust Trinity Company, Dmitry Gapon, the first deputy manager of Lenenergo branch, Directorate of Objects under Construction, and Alexander Fedorov, the former first deputy manager of Directorate of Objects under Construction.

Investigators believe that they have signed forged documents on delivery and installation of cable.

The defendants were placed in detention.
