TULA, September 16 (RAPSI) - The District Court of Tula on Monday decided against mitigating the 9,5 years prison sentence for Tula's ex governor Vyacheslav Dudka, RIA Novosti reports from the court.

In July, Dudka was sentenced to 9,5 years in prison for taking a 40 million ruble ($1.2 million) bribe.

According to investigators, in November 2010, then governor Dudka and Viktor Volkov, who headed the regional property and land management department, took a 40 million ruble kickback from the GRINN corporation, in return for leasing it a plot of land in Tula for three years for the corporation to build a supermarket there.
