MOSCOW, January 10 – RAPSI. Next year Russian judges will start using shuttles to hold proceedings in remote locations as part of the mobile judicial offices project.
“The use of special passenger minibuses with extended functional opportunities is proposed,” reads the judicial system development program, which was approved by the government at the end of last year and has been posted on its website.

According to the authorities, mobile offices with videoconference equipment will be able to travel to remote population centers.

Therefore the functional opportunities of the commercial court system are being expanded, as these courts are currently only based in Russia's regional capitals.

A total of 39.1 million rubles ($1.285 million) will be allocated for this project: 12.1 million ($397,745) will be allocated in 2014 and 2015, and 14.9 million rubles ($489,785) in 2016.
