ST.-PETERSBURG, October 11 - RAPSI. Madonna's representatives failed to appear at a St. Petersburg's Moskovsky District Court preliminary hearing on the lawsuits filed against her and her concert organizers, the court told RIA Novosti.

In mid-August the court agreed to hear several lawsuits for moral damages against the singer and her St. Petersburg concert organizers. The plaintiffs are seeking 333 million rubles ($10.7 million) for alleged insults related to her support for the LGBT community.

"Music industry and FMA corporate representatives showed up. Some of the plaintiffs came in person, some are represented by lawyers... but neither Madonna, nor her representative appeared," said the source.
