ST. PETERSBURG, August 24 - RAPSI. The St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region Commercial Court have pushed Heineken Joint Breweries' lawsuit back to August 29. Heineken is seeking to invalidate the St. Petersburg Antimonopoly Service's ruling that the Three Bears (Tri Medvedya) beer advert is in breach of advertising law, the judge said at the hearing.

The advertising features an animated image of football player Andrei Arshavin.

Heineken submitted an application to the commercial court disputing the St. Petersburg Antimonopoly Service's decision and order dated May 18.

According to the service's website, the company violated advertising law by advertising its beer in the St. Petersburg metro. The advert showed a cartoon Arshavin with the slogan "A real chance to play with Arshavin?"

The service found the ad inappropriate, as it contained images of people and animals.

Heineken has been in business since 1863. The company operates in Russia as Heineken Joint Breweries since February 2002.
