MOSCOW, March 6 - RAPSI. The Zamoskvoretsky District Court in Moscow will hear on April 11 the Federation Charitable Fund's lawsuit against the Rain TV channel due to its comments about a charity concert attended by Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

The comments were broadcast during the "Here and Now" program on March 15. Two channel employees will act as co-defendants. The plaintiff has not sought monetary damages.

Putin was present and even sang and played the piano at the concert in late 2010 in St. Petersburg.

However, in March 2011, the mother a girl suffering from cancer published an open letter claiming that she had not received the promised financial aid. It turned out that various hospitals did not receive their money either. The fund stated that the concert was only held to draw attention to the problems of sick children and the medical institutions treating them.

Nevertheless, the money was still paid to the hospitals after the scandal.

The press coverage of these events has given rise to numerous lawsuits.
