MOSCOW, March 6 - RAPSI. The Prosecutor General's Office has reported on Tuesday legal violations committed during update works on the Defense Ministry's website.

The ministry developed a design specification for the website update works in early 2010, which were later declared invalid as no price monitoring or economic evaluation was fulfilled. The project cost was also overrated, the prosecutor's office reports.

After looking into the case, the prosecutor's office found that the website was not updated.

The Defense Ministry entered into a 36 million ruble ($1.2 million) state contract with a commercial firm.

The Prosecutor General's Office has opened a criminal case regarding large-scale fraud.
