MOSCOW, February 9 - RAPSI. Investigators have refused to hold another examination of the high-profile car crash involving a LUKOIL vice president at the request of the husband of one of two doctors killed in the crash, the Interior Ministry's Moscow Department reported on Thursday.

The petition requesting additional technical examinations was filed on January 25. The defense also attached a list of 30 questions to the experts.

However, investigators rejected the petition calling it ungrounded as the questions had either been answered earlier or went beyond the experts' competence, the department reported.

The car crash involving a LUKOIL vice president's Мercedes S500, occurred on February 25, 2010, in Moscow. Renowned doctors Vera Sidelnikova and Olga Alexandrina died in the crash. LUKOIL Vice President Anatoly Barkov got light injuries. The car crash sparked a public outrage as many believed the LUKOIL top manager was responsible for the accident.

However, investigators concluded that Alexandrina caused the crash and later closed the case due to her death.
