MOSCOW, December 19 - RAPSI. The Supreme Commercial Court has registered two appeals filed by Inteco founder Yelena Baturina against the judgments in her two defamation lawsuits against the NTV channel, the court told the Rusian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI/rapsinews.com).

Baturina is Russia's richest woman and the wife of former Moscow Mayor Yury Luzhkov.

Batirina has asked the courts to reconsider lower-court decisions under supervisory procedure.

The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court upheld the dismissal of Baturina's lawsuit against NTV in September. The subject in dispute was Baturina's involvement in decision-making processes regarding the construction of a federal highway. The trial court held against her in March and the appellate court approved the decision. A federal commercial court followed suit.

Baturina sued the TV channel twice. The second action stemmed from allegations that she sold the land at an inflated price.

She insisted that the information was false and sought 400,000 rubles ($12,600) in moral damages and 200,000 rubles for each episode.
