MOSCOW, October 5 - RAPSI, Dmitry Shchitov. The Supreme Commercial Court has registered a Moscow distillery's request to review lower-court judgments confirming the government entity's right to the Moskovskiy trademark, the court told the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI).

The Moscow District Federal Commercial Court held against the cassation appeal, filed by the Moscow Wine and Cognac Distillery KiN, on June 22, in which it contested Soyuzplodoimport's right to the Moskovskiy trademark.

Soyuzplodoimport was established on April 9, 2002 under a Russian governmental decree. It is a producer and distributor of food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages under Russian-owned trademarks. It is the holder of 17 alcoholic beverage trademarks, including Stolichnaya and Moskovskaya.

The Moscow Wine and Cognac Distillery Kin is part of the KiN Group producing a wide range of brandies and vodkas.
