MOSCOW, September 7 (RAPSI) — Investigating authorities of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) have completed a probe into 24 members of the Ukrainian battalion Azov, designated in the Russian Federation as a terrorist organization.

The respective criminal case has been forwarded to court for consideration on the merits, according to the Prosecutor General's Office of the DPR.

Seven defendants are accused of organizing Azov activities, the rest are charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist group, the statement reads.

All the defendants are also charged with committing, as part of a criminal organization, of actions aimed at forcibly seizing power and changing the constitutional order in the Donetsk People's Republic, according to the document.

All defendants in the case are currently in custody.

Earlier it was reported that the law enforcement agencies of the DPR are investigating over 100 criminal cases related to the actions of the nationalist battalion Azov.
