Two human rights advocates join Moscow police public council

MOSCOW, February 3 (RAPSI) – Members of the Presidential Council for Human Rights Andrey Babushkin and Igor Borisov have joined the Public Council of the Interior Ministry’s Moscow Main Directorate for 2020 – 2023, the advisory body’s press service reports.
During the first constitutive meeting, the Council’s senior executives have been elected; a plan for this year has been drafted.
Upon a proposal of the human rights advocates, such matters as human rights observance check in the police units and human rights lessons in the Police Training Center were included in the working plan, the statement reads.
