MOSCOW, March 19 (RAPSI) – Russia’s business ombudsman Boris Titov believes that all criminal cases opened by investigators should be recorded.

The ombudsman advocated for creating a special register of initiated cases. This would give the opportunity to control the course of cases and to have a complete grasp on the statistics, Titov said during a news conference on Tuesday.

As yet, we can only found upon the statistics of opened criminal cases provided by prosecutors and investigators, but we cannot actually see the figures, the ombudsman stated. It is on record that about 15% of cases are forwarded to court, 5% are closed, but there is no knowing about the others, he noted.
