MOSCOW, September 7 (RAPSI) – The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) and its regional offices have considered 84 cases concerning the protection of FIFA rights, the watchdog’s statement reads.

However, no ambush marketing cases were registered for the first time ever, the watchdog noted.

According to a deputy chief of the FAS department for control over advertisement and unfair competition Yana Sklyarova, the most widespread violations are sales of goods with the World Cup logo. Marketing and promotion actions creating false appearance of their relation to FIFA and its events are the second most frequent type of violations.
