MOSCOW, August 13 (RAPSI) – The Moscow Commercial Court will hear a claim filed by the Deposit Insurance Agency (DIA) seeking to collect 286.7 million rubles ($4.3 million) from businessman Anatoly Motylev and former managers of AMB bank on September 28, according to court records.

In July, the DIA lodged a suit demanding to recover over 12 billion rubles in damages from Motylev as an owner of the bank “Russian credit” and four bank’s management.

Motylev, who currently lives abroad, is the former owner of several Russian banks including “Russian credit”, “M-Bank”, “AMB B” and “Tulsky Industrialist”. In July 2015, the Central Bank of Russia revoked licenses of the financial organizations.

In May 2016, Moscow’s Basmanny District Court seized the businessman’s property including several apartments and land plots in the Moscow Region.

Motylev is reportedly a defendant in a case on embezzlement at M-Bank. Allegedly, over 1 billion rubles ($15 million) were transferred from the bank to phony companies where they were cashed and stolen.
