MOSCOW, March 22 (RAPSI) – Investigation has been opened into Ukrainian ultranationalists’ attack on the office of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Kiev, Russia’s Investigative Committee reports Thursday.

According to investigators, on February 17, a group of Ukrainian right-wing extremists attacked the cultural center’s office, broke an exhibit display, painted the walls with insulting anti-Russian slogans and burnt the Russian state flag. The next day, radicals pelted the Russian building with stones, broke windows inflicting a financial damage, the statement reads.

Following these incidents Russian investigators opened criminal cases over attack against individuals or institutions under international protection and desecration of the Russian flag.  Several suspects have been already identified.
