MOSCOW, March 5 (RAPSI) - President Vladimir Putin said during the Federal Security Service’s (FSB) board session on Monday that Russian intelligence services prevented 68 crimes of terrorist nature in 2017, the Kremlin's website reported.

Among the prevented crimes are 25 terrorist attacks, Putin noted.

According to the President, the number of terrorist crimes has dropped in the last six years, from 316 in 2012 to 25 in 2017.

Putin called on the Federal Security Service to continue active fight against terrorism using the offensive tactics. “You should immediate feedforward data and liquidate financial, information and other channels used by terror groups having a global nature,” he told the FSB officers.
