MOSCOW, September 11 (RAPSI, Diana Gutsul) – The number of complaints submitted to the Office of Russia’s ombudsman over violations during the September 10 elections has dropped by three times as compared to the two previous years, High Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova told journalists on Monday.

The effectiveness of authorities’ response to election abuse complaints increased this year, she added.

The municipal election was held on September 10. Moskalkova visited several voting precincts in Moscow. The ombudsman was monitoring the observance of election rights of citizens.
