MOSCOW, November 22 (RAPSI) – Over 600,000 cases of children's rights violations have been registered so far this year, Alexander Kurennoy, a spokesman for the Prosecutor General’s Office, said at the Second Open Forum of Prosecutor’s Office in the Voronezh region.

Most of children's rights violations (222,608) are linked to life, health, family, maternity, fatherhood and childhood protection, according to Kurennoy. 

More than 108,000 violations have been established in the field of protection of minors’ rights to education, Kurennoy said.

Prosecutors also revealed 73,000 infringements regarding prevention of juvenile delinquency, child neglect and homelessness.

Over 70,000 suits over protection of children’s rights were sent to court. More than 62,000 of the claims were granted. Over 109,000 persons were brought to court and found guilty. Over 25,000 individuals were subjected to administrative liability.
