MOSCOW, June 1 (RAPSI) – Owner of premises in the living house at town of Mezhdurechensk in the Kemerovo Region has been arrested, RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday.

“Owner of the premises has been identified and arrested. He is a 56 year-old entrepreneur. In 2012 he was renting the premises to a large retailer company. Currently renovations organized by the owner are being investigated,” the press-release by the local Investigative Committee Directorate reads.

Arrested entrepreneur faces charges for “violation of safety rules during the construction works.” If found guilty he faces up to seven years in prison.

On Tuesday overlaps for the accesses of a five-store house in Mezhdurechensk collapsed on all stores. Two people died in the accident, three were hospitalized. One of the victims is in a critical condition.
