MOSCOW, July 3 (RAPSI) - The U.S. Department of the Treasury took additional measures against supposed representatives of several transnational criminal organizations, including Russian State Duma member Adam Delimkhanov, the Treasury announced in the press release on Wednesday.

Delimkhanov is believed to be acting on the behalf of Gafur Rakhimov, who is considered to be a key member in The Brother’s Circle, a large multi-ethnic criminal group operating on the global scale. Any assets of Delimkhanov and other people on the sanctions list will be frozen in the U.S. as a result. In addition, any transactions between American persons and supposed criminals will be prohibited.

Treasury’s acts against criminal networks which are classified as “significant”. Besides The Brother’s Circle, other organizations on the “black list” include infamous Mara Salvatrucha, the Camorra, the Zetas and the Yakuza.
