MOSCOW, January 28 (RAPSI) – Russian Federal Customs Service and express delivery companies reached and agreement over recently changed regulations for delivery of itmes ordered over the internet, Customs service head Andrey Belyaninov told the press on Tuesday.

Last week it was reported that the Association of Express Carriers, which comprises Russian and international delivery companies like DHL, Pony Express, TNT, FedEx, UPS and others, were being forced to halt deliveries for private individuals as a result of new stricter customs requirements for goods crossing the Russian border that have led to delays in delivery.

Along with the amended regulations, changes to informational systems of the delivery operators will be made, to ensure normal delivery schedules, Federal Customs Service head added. The sides reached an agreement on the packages delivered without duty collection: the cost must not exceed 200 EUR, and 10 kg in weight.
