NOVOSIBIRSK, December 12 (RIA Novosti) – Two Russians have been accused of leaking documents containing information about secret “dual use” technology from a Siberian plant to a foreigner, Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) said Thursday.

The suspects allegedly passed documents on devices made by a plant in the city of Novosibirsk, a center for high technology, to a citizen of the Asian-Pacific region who has been convicted of smuggling and expelled from Russia, the FSB said.

Although no charges have been brought against the suspects, they have received an official warning that their illegal actions could have led to charges of “state treason,” the FSB said.

The suspects were caught during an operation conducted by the FSB between 2011 and 2013 that prevented the illegal smuggling of the plant’s devices, the statement said.
