MOSCOW, June 5 (RAPSI) –  Another participant of the nationwide anti-government protests in Turkey has died after receiving a head wound, the Hurriyet Daily News website reported on Wednesday, citing a representative of the Turkish Medical Association.

Ethem Sarisuluk was fatally wounded during clashes in Ankara and later died in a hospital.

Earlier, media reported the deaths of Abdullah Comert, a 22-year-old member of the Republican People’s Party, who was killed on June 3 during the clashes, and 20-year-old Mehmet Ayvalitas, who died of injuries after a car slammed into a crowd of protesters on June 2.

The anti-government unrest, which started with the Gezi Park protests in Istambul, has continued for nine days. Protesters demonstrate against the growing Islamic influence in the country and claim that the authorities interfere in the lives of ordinary citizens. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has claimed that the protests are staged by extremists.
