MOSCOW, May 17 (RAPSI) – City prosecutors have reported multiple violations in the construction and operation of the Moscow City business center project to the Central Administrative Area Prefect and the state company Tsentr-City, the Prosecutor General’s Office said on Friday.

In particular, the Moscow City shopping and entertainment center has been approved for operation, while no support structures have been installed during the preparation for construction.

Furthermore, the owners and tenants of business center properties and the Afimall shopping mall, as well as builders, appeared to have been using the Moscow City transport overpass without permits.

Moreover, 50 foreign nationals have been employed in construction without permits. Administrative offense cases have been opened against these workers, while the prosecutors are considering opening administrative proceedings against their employers.

The results of an inspection concerning the officials at the Moscow Committee for State Oversight in Construction have been submitted to the investigative authorities to consider opening criminal cases against them.

The Moscow City international business center is a high-rise business area in downtown Moscow still under construction. It is the largest property investment project in Moscow as well as in Russia.
